My friend had told me about him for the last 1 1/2 years, and I never went. He saw him all the time at the blue cafe when he played there regularly. I guess I was kinda snobby about how much he praised him and how amazing he said the show was. I probably thought he was over exaggerating. BOY WAS I WRONG!! I cannot remember the last time I saw someone that amazing in a club or an arena. I'm totally inspired again!! The only thing I can compare it to was the video of Stevie Ray at the el mocambo, or Jimi at monterey. Eric is one bad dude and a hell of a nice guy to boot. I've been playing guitar for about 20 years and it's nice to have a new guitar hero!! It took me all of sunday to digest what I had seen and heard the night before, glad to see someone is making real music again with such passion and drive. I'm sure I don't have to tell any of you that, but I thought I'd share my experience. I'm goin' to see him in huntington and hermosa next.
